We created this map with the illusion of 3D by applying Digital Elevation Data and meticulously adding shaded relief to the landscape of the original 1883 Washington map. The shading is printed on the paper and not a result of the map protruding from the surface.

Please Note: Text on the map can be difficult to read due to the small font size and the age of the map. In areas where the relief shading covers the text, the underlying text is not legible. We suggest the largest size map for better details though the text may still be covered in the darker areas.

  • Framed Prints ship within 2-3 weeks plus transit time.

    Beautiful!

    Worth the price, it certainly is a beautiful addition to our home. The printing makes it look 3D close up and from across the room. Shipping was fast and packaging was above and beyond at protecting the map. It's a timeless piece of art in my opinion.

    A little history

    The map is not cheap but it was only half the cost of framing it. It looks great hanging over our fireplace with a ceiling light illuminating it. The light really highlights the relief effect. The relief is so interesting to look at and try to imagine routes through the mountains. I say imagine because the roads weren't there in 1883. It's an amusing conversation piece.

    Awesome!

    I teach 8th grade WA state history and got this map as a special splurge for my classroom. It’s absolutely beautiful. I took it to get framed and the lady framing it wanted to know where I got it because she said she had never seen such a beautiful map like this. Definitely worth the money!
